Do you ever wonder what makes Italian pizza so good? While pizza sounds simple, mastering the crust can be an art developed over time with lots of tips and tricks. If you are in search of a cooking class while touring Tuscany, we highly recommend the pizza making class at Podere Il Casale (@podereilcasale)!

This organic agriturismo is situated in the hills of the Val d'Orcia which makes the views spectacular and all ingredients are straight from the farm. This includes everything from the flour used in the dough, to the cheese, and all the toppings. You learn classic techniques to making a perfect wood-fired oven pizza dough, you get a tour of the farm, and then get to enjoy your own personal pizza with all the dinner extras (cheese plate, salad, desert, and wine) while overlooking the valley and watching the sunset over Pienza.

The drive to Il Casale is beautiful and is situated between Pienza and Montepulciano (~35 minute drive from the B&B).
